Title: Lead Line Cook
Job Overview
The Lead Line Cook is responsible for the overall operations of the back of the house (BOH) of a full-service casual dining restaurant. They help ensure food preparation and kitchen safety. They assist in managing kitchen operations to build a successful, high functioning, and profitable dining experience.
Duties & Responsibilities

Instill a culture of excellence and inspire confidence throughout the kitchen staff while displaying strong leadership and delegation skills

Lead with skill, integrity, proven leadership experience in a busy daytime breakfast cafe

Proven ability and experience working on the line

Collaborate with the General Manager/Owner on the budget for kitchen operations

Manage food & menu development, kitchen labor, parsheets, and safety guidlines

Execute and maintain quality and consistency of food with full adherence to standards

Enforce kitchen schedules, par lists, prep lists, order guide, and opening/closing procedures

Manage vendor relations

Maintain in-house safety program and conduct weekly in-house health inspections in conjunction with Kitchen Manager

Adhere to kitchen cleanliness standards, ordering/receiving standards, and shelf life guidelines
-
Act with integrity and trust, promoting our culture and core values and delivering the highest level of customer service
Responsibilities may change as needed in the future
Experience & Qualifications

Three to five years of experience as a Kitchen lead and prior experience leading and/or managing a team

Formal experience in restaurant training and/or culinary school
-
Experience with computer applications and POS systems
-
Multilingualism is encouraged
